As the temperatures get cooler and cooler and fall starts turning into winter, Kia has something that will make you feel like you’re catching a warm summertime breeze: the Kia A1A Concept.
This built-for-summer concept was designed for the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. It is based on an Optima sedan, but looks like nothing you would see on a showroom floor, which is exactly what SEMA is all about.
For starters, this Optima has had its roof cut off, making it a beautiful open-air convertible. Next, the spectacular blue color makes you think of the pristine blue ocean you would see driving along the A1A coastal highway in Florida, which is what this concept is named after. And, for the final touches, this concept has a trimmed windshield, rear suicide doors, 20-inch chrome wheels, and reinforced steel tubing throughout to compensate for the missing roof.
Can you imagine your next beach-going adventure driving behind the wheel of this beautiful car? How much would you love to see a production version of a Kia convertible?
