Kia has revealed that it will launch the 2019 Niro EV in the United States by winter 2018, and that it will be initially available “in select markets in limited quantities.” Whether Memphis will be one of those select markets remains to be seen, but we can only hope it will be.
With respect to how it will perform, Kia estimates that its electric motor will generate output of around 201 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque, making it an impressive performer by any measure. With its cutting-edge, liquid-cooled battery, it’s expected to deliver all-electric driving range of up to 240 miles on a single charge.*
With the 2019 Kia Niro EV, the future of green driving looks as bright — and stylish — as ever. More information about this exceptional crossover will be available closer to its launch at the end of the year, so watch this space to learn when you can expect to see the Niro EV at Gossett Kia South.
*Final EPA estimates will be released closer to Niro EV’s on-sale date.
