The 2018 Kia Soul and Sorento recently made the news as both of these models earned prestigious awards: US News & World Report gave both cars the “Best Cars for the Money” awards, recognizing the Soul and Sorento for the ideal combination of quality and affordability.
According to Kia, the “Best Cars for the Money” awards are given after vehicles are judged on 14 categories. US News noted that the Soul won the compact car category for having UVO infotainment, HID and LED lighting, and innovative safety features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, which optimize driving like never before.
“We are honored that Soul and Sorento were recognized as offering tremendous quality and value within their respective categories for the second consecutive year,” said Orth Hedrick, vice president of product planning at Kia Motors America. “These awards are further proof that Kia vehicles are not only fun to drive, but also couple outstanding reliability with a low total cost of ownership.”
The Sorento won the award for the 3-Row SUV category. Notable features on this model included things like available driver assistance features and optional all-wheel drive. Plus, with a rugged exterior, the Sorento also tends to stand apart on the road.
