  2. A luxurious interior: The Optima treats its driver to a luxury experience you would expect to find only in a German luxury automobile. Included features are an available heated steering wheel, enhanced noise reduction, and heated and ventilated front seats—12-way power-adjustable for the driver with four-way power lumbar support and 10-way power-adjustable for the passenger with two-way lumbar support.
  3. Efficient engine options: You’ll have your choice between engines, between a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a 2.0-liter turbo with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Either way, expect fewer trips to the gas station due to incredible fuel economy.
  4. Safety for the whole family: The 2018 Kia Optima offers a host of active driver-assistance technologies and standard safety technologies, all of which helped it earn a 5-Star Overall Safety Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Kia Cadenza Named 2017 Large Sedan of the Year by Hispanic Motor Press Association

2017 Kia Cadenza

The 2017 Kia Cadenza has been named the Large Sedan of the Year by the Hispanic Motor Press Association, which holds annual awards for vehicles in each segment. The judges evaluate each vehicle for safety, quality, value, performance, design, style, environmental impact, and technology based on the needs and tastes of the Latino population.

The Cadenza, which starts its second generation with the 2017 model year, “injects a much-needed shot of excitement to the large car segment,” says Michael Sprague, chief operating officer of EVP, KMA. The Cadenza’s striking styling and refined interior set it apart from the rest of the crowded sedan segment and makes huge improvements over other sedans in terms of the cabin, technology, powertrain, and body structure. Prague says Kia is “honored to be named among the best choices for Latino families.”

The Hispanic Motor Press Association considers over 100 vehicles each year and selects three vehicles for each category before narrowing it down to each category’s winner. The judges take the cars on test drives as well as look at the affordability and mass market availability of each vehicle and how it relates to the average Latino family. This is the seventh year of the Hispanic Motor Press Awards.
