The Kia Soul is continually coming out on top in its segment, and it looks like this isn’t going to change any time soon. Kia recently introduced a turbocharged 2017 Kia Soul that adds plenty of pep to the quirky car’s step, making it even more fun to drive.
Turbocharge
This new turbocharged 1.6-liter GDI engine offers 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, which is a significant increase from the Soul’s standard 161-horsepower 2.0-liter engine. With this turbocharged engine, the 2017 Soul returns 26 mpg city and 31 mpg highway, giving it a combined mpg of 28.
Other Features
Along with this big pump of power, the sporty new Soul also comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a plethora of special features. These include exclusive 18-inch wheels, a chrome grille surround, red-accented body trim, unique Soul tailgate badge, and a dual chrome twin-tip exhaust.
Other standard equipment includes the leather-wrapped steering wheel, a push-button start, and an UVO32 infotainment system. It even has integrated Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone systems and a 315-watt Harman Kardon audio system, making it both athletic and tech-savvy. There are more available features, including Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection.
